When I saw Dell Publishing's 1962 Look and Learn Spanish recently, I had to have it -- not because I really want to learn Spanish (though that might be a pleasant side effect), but because Aliki Brandenberg's little illustrations are the most charming slice-of-life instructions I've ever seen. I just had to share them.
In this drawing, that little car is trying so hard to keep up, it's actually sweating.
